Baraya Extended Care
ActiveA network of long-term care and rehabilitation hospitals and outpatient clinics in Saudi Arabia offering post-acute, geriatric and rehabilitation inpatient and outpatient services.
Baraya Extended Care operates long-term care and rehabilitation hospitals and outpatient clinics across Saudi Arabia, including facilities in Riyadh, Jeddah and Abha, where it opened Saudi Arabia's first 216-bed extended-care hospital. Unlike a typical founder-led startup, Baraya was launched in 2023 by TVM Capital Healthcare Partners, a dedicated healthcare private-equity/venture firm, as part of its Afiyah Fund LP alongside other TVM portfolio companies, and is run day-to-day by CEO Jad Halaby rather than an independent founder. It closed a $124M Series B in July 2025 led by TVM Capital Healthcare, with participation from Olayan Financing Company, Saudi Economic and Development Holding Company (SEDCO), ANB Capital and the Saudi Venture Capital Company (SVC).
