Below Farm

Below Farm grows specialty mushrooms year-round in the Abu Dhabi desert. It uses indoor vertical farming with automated temperature and humidity control, on a growing medium made from date-palm fronds and local waste wood. It was set up in 2021, harvested its first crop in 2022 and sells to retailers such as Spinneys, to restaurants and direct to consumers.
