BluePhin Technologies was founded in early 2018 in Sharjah by American University of Sharjah students, through Sheraa's pre-seed programme. Its robot, which can run manually or autonomously, scoops up floating waste (up to about 370 half-litre bottles per run) and monitors water quality. The company signed an MoU with Bee'ah and won the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival pitch competition and Unilever's Young Entrepreneur Award.
