Meddy began as a Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar course project and grew into Qatar's main platform for finding and booking doctors, later expanding to the UAE. By the 2021 acquisition it had handled over 200,000 appointments and served 150+ private healthcare providers. After Helium Health bought it, Meddy was merged into the HeliumDoc brand.
