ActiveSheba: A New Dawn - a story-driven Metroidvania action-RPG set in an ancient Arabian kingdom, built in Unity and released on Steam and consoles in April 2024.
Independent video game studio founded in Abu Dhabi in October 2016 by three Emirati brothers, making narrative action-RPGs rooted in Middle Eastern culture, mythology and history. Its debut title Sheba: A New Dawn launched 9 April 2024, was the first Abu Dhabi-developed indie game to attract sustained international attention, and won 14 NYX Game Awards. Based at twofour54 and supported by the Abu Dhabi Gaming initiative, which facilitated direct work with Unity Technologies. The team was still reported as just the three founding brothers around launch.
