Kinecto develops a patent-pending portable charger that stores kinetic energy from the user's movement and charges devices wirelessly. The company started in March 2017 after winning Carnegie Mellon University's 'Quick Startup' competition in Qatar, and was incubated at the Qatar Business Incubation Center. In 2018 it reported a working prototype, preorders, and letters of intent worth QAR 280,000 from retailers.
