LODD Autonomous
ActiveHili - a hybrid-electric VTOL heavy-cargo UAV carrying up to 250 kg over roughly 700 km, sold with a command-and-control centre, UAV traffic management (UTM) software and automated ground handling.
Autonomous aerospace company founded in Abu Dhabi in 2023, building unmanned cargo aircraft and the AI software stack around them for middle-mile logistics. Its flagship Hili UAV was designed, built and flown entirely in the UAE and completed its first flight on 13 November 2025 at LODD's flight-test facility at Emirates Falcon Aviation in Al Ain, during Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week. Manufacturing sits in Kizad/KEZAD, Abu Dhabi, with stated capacity for more than 50 aircraft a year and around 35 staff reported. It signed an MoU with Etihad Cargo on 3 November 2025 and another with Emirates SkyCargo, and has run parcel and medical cold-chain delivery pilots with 7X/EMX, Noon and Aramex under ADIO and Smart and Autonomous Systems Council programmes. Commercial drone cargo deliveries were targeted for 2026, with stated ambitions in Africa, Asia and Europe.
