Madari Space
ActiveOrbital data centres — satellites designed to store and process data in low Earth orbit, using solar power and on-board AI for data management, pitched as an alternative to energy-hungry terrestrial data centres.
Madari Space is an Emirati deep-tech startup building data-centre infrastructure in low Earth orbit. Its stated mission is to address the surge in data generated on Earth while avoiding the environmental cost of ground-based data centres, by hosting storage and processing capacity in orbit where solar power is continuous. The company is at proof-of-concept stage: a pilot mission is planned for Q3 2026 in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre and the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs, and it signed an MoU with Korean launch provider INNOSPACE in November 2025. It is a member of the Mohammed bin Rashid Innovation Fund accelerator (Cohort 8, 2024) and sits in the Incubator Building in Masdar City.
