Patented "natural water distillation" devices that float on seawater and produce fresh water using only solar energy — trapping evaporated water to mimic the natural water cycle with, per the company, zero carbon footprint and zero brine rejection. Applications include floating farms, inland farms, and industrial and drinking-water use.

Manhat is a deep-technology water startup that produces fresh water from seawater without electricity, membranes or brine discharge. Its floating distillation units sit on the sea surface, use solar heat to evaporate water and capture the condensate, which the company frames as replicating the natural water cycle rather than competing with conventional desalination. The headline application is the "floating farm" — agriculture on the water surface irrigated by water produced in situ — with prototypes installed across Abu Dhabi in collaboration with entities including Abu Dhabi Ports. Founded in November 2019 by Khalifa University chemical-engineering professor Dr Saeed Alhassan Alkhazraji, it has been funded entirely by equity-free grants and prizes (Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre, Ma'an Abu Dhabi, Expo Live, the TFF Challenge 2022 and the C3 Impact Accelerator), opened an Australian office in 2023, and remained in the news through July 2026 via its Young Water Innovators Programme.
