Meet The Locals is a social tourism company founded in 2017 by Emiratis Khadija Behzad and Abdullah Al Matar to connect tourists and expatriate residents with UAE nationals. It runs Emirati breakfast and dinner gatherings, heritage tours led by certified Emirati guides, Arabic-coffee etiquette workshops and cultural inductions for corporate staff and delegations. A Sheraa Accelerator (2017 cohort) alumnus, it won Best Tourism Startup at the 2017 Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival.
