RATEB (My Rateb) is a Kuwaiti e-wallet for employers to pay domestic workers' salaries, bonuses and allowances without the worker needing a bank account. Workers can hold funds, withdraw at ATMs without a card, and send money home through licensed exchange companies, in six languages. The Central Bank of Kuwait approved a soft launch inside its regulatory sandbox in October 2022, and Ooredoo Kuwait signed an MoU with the company in February 2023.
