Sabbar is a Riyadh-based gig-economy and on-demand staffing platform founded in 2019 by Mohamed T. Ibrahim, Abdul Rahman Al-Mudaiheem, Afnan Sherbeeni, and Sara Alshimemri. It connects retail, hospitality, and entertainment businesses with a vetted pool of temporary workers using a proprietary matching engine, and has processed over 100,000 job applications from Saudi nationals since its mid-2019 launch. It has raised a $1.5M seed round (December 2019) and a $4M pre-Series A (July 2021).
