Safaghat is one of Bahrain's first financing-based crowdfunding platforms and is licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain as an ancillary service provider (crowdfunding platform operator). It lets SMEs raise short-term, Shariah-compliant debt financing from investors via web and app. In 2023 the Labour Fund Tamkeen partnered with it to subsidise profit costs for eligible Bahraini MSMEs.
