The Concept, formerly The Conceptualizers, was a UAE product-development startup founded in 2017 by Yadhushan Mahendran, Maria Sobh and Muhammad Rijal Hikmatullah to replace non-sustainable aviation hardware. Its NEOS Fly tray, made from recycled PET, was used on Etihad's 2021 eco-flight, and in 2021 it partnered with Etihad to develop the IoT-enabled NEOS Fly+ to cut in-flight food waste. It reported $250,000 raised from an angel investor and the Intelak, Sheraa and Gothams–Hub71 programmes.
