The Surpluss runs a B2B digital exchange where companies list surplus resources and trade them with nearby businesses, such as by-products, waste, equipment, space and know-how. The aim is to cut landfill waste and emissions. It was founded in 2021 by Rana Hajirasouli, is B Corp certified, and took part in the Mega Green Accelerator 2024. By August 2024 it reported over 4,000 users and more than $2 million generated through exchanges.
