Wahaj Solar

Wahaj Solar develops the Ayman Solar Concentrator, a metallic reflector that acts like a giant Fresnel lens. Its focal point stays fixed relative to the ground and it reaches close to 1,000 suns and more than 1,000 °C. Target uses are round-the-clock modular electricity with storage, solar desalination, green hydrogen and industrial process heat; a prototype was installed at the Masdar Institute Solar Platform in Abu Dhabi in January 2020. The company is self-funded by its founders and says it is seeking investors.
